Throughout history, Kingdom movements haven't started in massive venues. They have begun in humble places with normal people like us, crying out to God and believing that His promises are still true for today.
One House, Many Rooms
Uniting the Church Across Macedonia
As part of Year of Prayer 2027, we're encouraging simple, hospitable gatherings as believers open their doors to seek God's presence and contend for a spiritual awakening in our nation. We call these "Living Rooms of Prayer" - but you can call them whatever you want to.
The Vision: The City Church as a Praying People
In Scripture, the Church is described as a living temple - a house of prayer built of living stones (1 Peter 2:5). We believe there is ultimately only one "house of prayer" in each city - encompassing all those who follow Jesus in that place.
Instead of seeking to build new prayer-focused institutions across the country, the Living Rooms of Prayer paradigm views individual prayer and worship gatherings as distinct "rooms" inside that single citywide house. This biblically aligned framework allows the Body of Christ to move into deep unity in the Spirit without forcing local churches and ministries into artificial constraints that may not be helpful to them.
Unity Without Conformity: You don't need to merge busy weekly schedules, adopt a single leadership structure, or uniform worship styles. The goal is more people praying more, that everyone would have a deeper relationship with the Father.
Freedom in Diversity: Each gathering honors unique traditions, worship preferences, and languages (Macedonian, Albanian, English, Roma, etc.) while standing spiritually united.
Located Anywhere: These prayer gatherings could be in a church building, a home, a business, NGO, or Zoom Room. Where two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus, he's there with them (Matthew 18:20), and the Kingdom goes with them. Let's get creative this year!
The Biblical Foundation: Why the City Level?
In the New Testament, churches were consistently identified by the city they inhabited - the church of Ephesus, Corinth, or Thessalonica. While believers met across countless individual home settings, they belonged to one cohesive citywide identity.
Following this apostolic pattern:
Expression of the Local Church: These prayer gatherings are not rogue groups; they function as a direct expression of the local body in the city, often with believers from different fellowships meeting together to worship and pray. That's a beautiful thing.
Honoring Leadership: Each gathering operates in honor and submission to the leadership and elders of the church in that city (Acts 20:17).
Targeted Impact: Focuses intercession on the specific spiritual needs, unreached communities, and social challenges of your immediate region or people you serve.
